The truth is that as the Range Rover improves – and the 2010 version is very good – the Overfinch conversions become less relevant. Sure, there’ll always be a market for its good-looking wheels and some of the other cosmetic tweaks – including interior finishings – but the handling and performance package no longer transforms the Range Rover. Rolls-Royce will be welcoming Giles taylor as its a new Head of Exterior Design in April this year. Taylor, who has spent the last 10 years in British automotive design roles and headed up the design team who created the XK and XJ model series under the direction of Ian Callum at Jaguar, will fill the vacant position in the Rolls-Royce design team. He will be based in West Sussex, UK, and report to Rolls‑Royce's Chief Designer, Ian Cameron.
McLaren confirmed on Monday that the 12C GT Sprint track-focused racer will cost about $316,000, converted from British pounds. That doesn't include taxes and destination. The GT Sprint was built by the McLaren GT racing arm of McLaren Automotive, and retains much of the 12C road car.
